As photographers moving into the world of moving images it made sense to take on a project about a subject we are familiar with, so doing a profile film on a photographer was a logical choice.
Picking a photographer that was inspiring to us was easy, William Patino has a truly inspiring story about his journey into photography, what it means to him, how it has changed his outlook and now his career. Will’s whole outlook on life and what truly matters was forged after battling depression for a number of years, this journey and how far it has taken him, from a 9-5 job as a tradie to full time photographer traveling the world creating images for different clients has been inspiring us and many photographers worldwide for a long time.
Spending a few days hanging out with Will discussing life, image making and what it means to each of us while creating this short film was an honour and we hope we have done his story justice.

‘The Laugh Laugh’ sees three iconic, British comedians, Tommy Cooper, Eric Morecambe and Bob Monkhouse sitting in a dressing room discussing the secret of comedy.
We witness the lightening wit and quick-fire quips which made these comedians great.
Trailer: https://vimeo.com/171357659
Director: Mat de Koning
Synopsis:
Meal Tickets is a coming of age roc-doc filmed over ten years about the lives of high school band mates and their roadie who dedicate their twenties to seeking success in the music industry. Australian filmmaker, Mat de Koning, filmed 700 hours of footage of his best friends to give this no holds barred look at being a rock’n’roller in an age where the Internet and social media changed the game. From Perth to New York, Melbourne to Los Angeles we are given a back stage pass to the gigs, the tour, the conflicts and indulgences. There is partying with all the messiness of youth but gradually each of the boys question if they have what it takes to be a star and ultimately what success truly means.
