The Snowdance Official Selection 2016 also includes 2 more thrilling award-winning features showcased at the Sydney Indie 2016, Spain’s “Day Release” by Geoffrey Cowper and  USA’s “Intersection” by Tim French.

Sydney Indie Film Festival director, Shailla Quadra, arrives in Germany soon for the Snowdance 2016 Independent Film Festival, where she will join a panel to discuss the topic of “Independent International”, a public talk about the current situation of the independent film scene.

The Panel will also include Scott Hillier (Director ECUFilm Festival, Paris), Randall Good (Slamdance Festival, USA), and Tom Bohn (Snowdance Film Festival).

The Sydney Indie Film Festival’s first year was an amazing success, screening 62 films from 20 countries over 8 entertaining days, and welcomed various local and international filmmakers to premiere their films in Australia.

As a film festival director and filmmaker, Shailla’s insight and experience will be an invaluable addition to the Snowdance panel.  “I’m humbly honoured and it’s still sinking in.  Many wonderful and exciting things are happening right now.  I’m also thrilled I will finally meet some of the European filmmakers who couldn’t make it all the way over to the Sydney Indie, so it will be a great “meeting/reunion” with many of us attending the Snowdance,” Shailla said.
