ALZHAÏMOUR (BELGIUM)

Synopsis: Louise, aged 68, is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and lives in a nursing home. Her daily life is riddled with sadness because her son Daniel is no longer visiting her, discouraged by his mother’s memory lapses. The arrival of a new patient in the home (Leo, 82), who is also suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, will upset Louise’s life … but also that of Daniel! Synopsis: Trishul is an Indian-American author who recently lost traction of his career after a terrible interview goes viral. With pressure from his publicist, Trishul begins a new novel about a character searching for his brother in India, a story based on Trishul’s personal experience. All the while, Trishul fantasizes about an old romance, now in Paris. Finding conflict between love, career, and cultural identity, Trishul must make a decision and take action, the only way to regain control of a life spiraling into fantasy and facade.
